Contentment – Trusting God and Being Thankful
During mango season in the village of Ona, Neema faces a difficult choice when hunger and temptation collide. As she gazes longingly at ripe mangoes that don’t belong to her, Kitabu, the wise elder, gently reminds her of Jesus’ time in the desert and the importance of trusting God. When Neema chooses patience and honesty over taking what she wants, God provides in a beautiful and unexpected way. Through her experience, Neema learns that true happiness comes from being content, trusting God’s timing, and being grateful for what He provides.
“Trust the Lord with all your heart. Don’t depend on your own understanding. Remember the Lord in everything you do. And he will give you success.”
— Proverbs 3:5-6 (ICB)
